Forest code: the government grants certificates of compliance to seven forest companies

Seven forest companies received this 8th January 2020, certificates of compliance. These are SODEFOR, FORABOLA, CFT, FOLAC, SCIBOIS, BAKRIBOIS CORPORATION and BEGO CONGO.

The ceremony for the presentation of the certificates was chaired in the morning by the Minister of the Environment and Sustainable Development, Me Claude Nyamugabo Bazibuhe. It was also in the presence of the Deputy Minister of the Environment, Ms. Jeanne Ilunga Zaina.

In his speech, the Minister congratulated the seven beneficiary forest companies who by these certificates, they are certified that they comply with the Congolese Forest Code, published since 2002, under the honorary President of the Republic Joseph Kabila Kabange. 

Furthermore, the number one Environment in the DRC has on this occasion, expressed its determination to endow the Democratic Republic of Congo with a forest policy, by the end of the first quarter of the current year. 

This presentation of the certificates of conformity to the seven forestry companies is warmly welcomed by the President of the Federation of Wood Industrialists (FIB), Mr. Gabriel Mola Motiya. In his speech, he encouraged Minister Claude Nyamugabo to also work for the application of forest management plans, " which constitute an essential tool in the sustainable management of forest resources and ipso facto in the fight against global warming". ».
